Bosendorfer Imperial Collection

The Bosendorfer Imperial Collection consists of the 9'6" Model 290 Imperial concert grand and the 7'4" Model 225 Imperial semi-concert grand. Both grands are crafted and designed in a fashion dedicated to the Viennese piano building tradition dating back to the time of Franz Liszt, one of Bosendorfer's most passionate proponents.

With their unique designs and sizes, these pianos delight the musician and the audience alike with an exceptional multitude of colours similar to an orchestra.

Delicately fragile pianissimo to brilliant fortissimo, these instruments utilize additional bass notes to paint added sound colours and to open up an orchestral sound spectrum. This unique sonic presence in all registers is the basis of the popularity of the Bosendorfer 225 as a chamber and solo instrument, and the 290 Imperial Concert Grand as the choice for many of the world's great concert halls.

Founded in 1828 by Ignaz Bosendorfer in Vienna, Austria, this venerable piano manufacturer has been hand-crafting the finest, most exclusive pianos in the world for nearly two centuries. Producing less than 250 exquisite instruments per year, the company blends Viennese piano making tradition with the latest in scale designs, touch response and tonal beauty.
