Kawai KG2E Ebony (SOLD)
SOLD! This is a Kawai KG2E Ebony Satin 5'10" grand from the late 80's that's in very nice condition. It was for years one of their single best selling grand pianos in Kawai's near 90-year history. This is not a gray market piano, rather it is a piano manufactured in Japan and seasoned for export to the U.S.
The piano is in very nice condition with a very even and responsive touch due to Kawai's "Ultra-responsive" action. The sound is full and clear without being bright or tinny. The cabinet is in very good condition and has a more under-stated elegance than the high gloss finishes.
This model was built towards the end of the reign of the KG-series, a pre-cursor of the current Kawai GX-series grands - their mid priced grand line. With a new GX2 Kawai priced at over $40K at retail, this equivalent in a used grand is an excellent value.
The instrument comes with a warranty for complete peace of mind. Also, the piano bench and first in-home tuning are included free.
