SOLD! This magnificent Bosendorfer 185 "Liszt" Grand in an exquisite figured Vavona wood veneer is extremely rare. The piano arrived in the United States direct from the factory in Vienna, Austria and was recently acquired by a private family. It was the only example in existence in the U.S. at the time.

Only a handful of these extremely limited edition 6'1" grand pianos were ever built. Crafted in honour of the exceptional pianist and composer Franz Liszt, the instrument commorates the close connection he had with the Bösendorfer company in Vienna.

An original oil painting at the factory still exists showing Liszt as he performs a private concert for the Emperor Franz Josef and his Court on the original Bösendorfer grand that this model was conceived from. It is a truly beautiful work of art and only one example depicting the rich cultural and musical history of Bösendorfer.

This instrument is hand-crafted with rare veneers and absolutely exquisite marquetry. Only one individual in Washington will be able to own this instrument. It is painstakingly hand-crafted for the discerning individual who seeks total exclusivity.

Prior to delivery, the instrument will be concert prepped and tuned by the renowned DC area concert technician, Robin Olson. The matching bench for this serial numbered instrument is included, as is the first free tuning in the home after delivery.
