Bosendorfer 200 "Strauss" 6'7" Ebony Polish

SOLD! This incredibly beautiful Bosendorfer 6'7" Special Edition "Strauss" grand piano (serial #49932) arrived direct from the factory in Vienna, Austria.

It was first premiered to the public at a special Dean's reception at American University's Katzen Arts Center, following an all-Russian program by Artist in Residence Yuliya Gorenman. Following the recital (performed on the Bosendorfer model 280 concert grand in the recital hall), the Strauss piano was presented to the public for the first time in the Katzen Arts Center Rotunda to the 150 guests attending the concert and reception.

The piano was crafted in honor and recognition of the famous composer Richard Strauss and his long-standing relationship with the venerable Bosendorfer company, which was founded in 1828. This artistically significant piece is a stunning ebony polished instrument crafted with beautiful artistry and inlays and reposing on elegantly carved legs and pedal lyre.

Founded in 1828 by Ignaz Bosendorfer in Vienna, Austria, this venerable piano manufacturer has been hand-crafting the finest, most exclusive pianos in the world for nearly two centuries. Producing less than 300 exquisite instruments per year, the company blends Viennese piano making tradition with the latest in scale designs, touch response and tonal beauty.
