He was a recent participant in the Yamaha International E-competition, performing virtually on a Disklavier grand piano from the Fairfax recital hall.

See Dr. Nikita Fitenko put the Appassionata through its paces below. Dr. Fitenko is amazed by the tone and touch of the piano, and he also demonstrates the high-resolution recording capabilities of the instrument. The playback is indistinguishable from the original and includes all the infinite nuances and half-pedaling of his performance.
