It is also one of only a few Steinways signed by Mr. Henry Z. Steinway, fifth generation of the founding family!

Built in the New York factory, this 46" professional upright piano is perfect for someone looking for big tone and touch, without the space for a baby grand. It is also encased in an elegant ebony satin cabinet that will fit any decor. 

The model 1098, along with Yamaha's legendary P22 and U1 professional uprights, is used by many conservatories and music schools in their practice rooms. Institutions love them because of their touch and tone, but also because they are true workhorse pianos that can withstand the unstable environment and years of constant play typical of music schools. 

This piano is all original and authentic, and encompasses key Steinway design patents like Accelerated Action, Diaphragmatic Soundboard and custom Steinway-designed hammers. It sounds great and has an action response virtually same as new.

The instrument includes a 5 year parts and labor warranty, same as new. It also includes the artist bench (upgraded by original owner) and first tuning free in the home. The piano will undergo full prep prior to delivery.
