This incredibly rare Yamaha C3 Centennial Walnut 6'1" grand piano just arrived in Richmond and is absolutely gorgeous with its hand crafted marquetry! Celebrating Yamaha's 100-year anniversary in 1987 (Yamaha was founded in Japan in 1887), this was one of only a handful of these art-case pianos ever built.

The stunning cabinet is handcrafted in a variety of burled walnut veneers and inlays. The legs and pedal lyre are beautifully carved. The matching bench's padded top lifts up for discreet music storage. 

The C3 model was part of Yamaha's highly sought after C Series Conservatory pianos (currently the CX Series). It has also been the most popular size (6'1") in the Conservatory Series line-up for many decades. 

This C3 has a larger soundboard and longer strings than the typical small baby grand, thus producing a bigger sound. Also, the action is more responsive than smaller grands, particularily the non-Conservatory models.

At a list price of almost $73K for a new one in a wood finish, this is also a good value. The bench is included, as well as a free first tuning in the home and a five year parts & labor warranty for complete peace of mind.
