The Cristofori Story - From 1700 to Present...
The Cristofori Story begins with Bartolomeo Cristofori, an Italian harpsichord maker. In the early 1700's he designed the first "Forte-piano", a keyboard instrument with hammers striking strings from underneath, as opposed to the harpsichord's plucked strings. Now musicians could play expressively (loud and soft), and thus, Cristofori is credited as the father of the modern day piano.
In 2004, a small team of well-known industry veterans and piano technicians, joined forces to design a line of high quality, entry-level pianos.
