The Cristofori G53L 5’3″ baby grand is one size larger than the smallest and is designed for those seeking a bigger sound and more responsive touch. It still fits most smaller spaces, but sounds better with its wide-tail design that allows for a bigger soundboard and longer strings than most other pianos of this size. The duplex scale adds to the instrument’s musicality.
Proportionally, this baby grand has a larger look and style than the smaller size, but is still compact enough to fit anywhere.
Like the other grand models, it contains the same quality features like a beveled lid, solid brass hardware, hinges and pedals, slow-close fallboard and elegantly styled spade legs. Bartolomeo Cristofori, the Italian instrument maker, designed and built the first “pianoforte” in the year 1700. Named after him, the Cristofori brand was introduced in 2004. Cristofori pianos are manufactured by the largest, most state-of-the-art piano factory in the world, with nearly 70 years of history in piano manufacturing and design.
