Steinway A Empire (SOLD)
SOLD! This unique Steinway A Empire is a fabulous 6'2" limited edition, special case Steinway with scrolled music desk and fluted Empire style legs. The piano is crafted in an extremely rare rosewood finish, which has been beautifully restored to its original satin lustre finish!
The instrument has been completely rebuilt, using genuine Steinway NY action parts. The pinblock and soundboard have been replaced with Canadian Bolduc maple (pinblock) and spruce (soundboard) parts from the renowned eponymous manufacturer of high-end piano replacement parts.
This instrument, like all used Steinways, comes with a 15-year full trade agreement to a new Bösendorfer grand.
The piano has gone through its final voicing and regulation and is available for viewing and audition. The matching bench and a five year parts and labor warranty (same time length as new) are included for complete peace of mind. The first tuning in the home is included as well. It compares to a new model A in East Indian Rosewood at nearly $150K retail currently.
As an alternative, also consider the new Bösendorfer 6'1" Liszt piano, in a rare and richly burled Vavona finish - the only piano of its kind on the East Coast.
