With its graded hammer weighted action, it feels like a grand piano, and it sounds phenomenal with Roland's proprietary SuperNATURAL sound modeling technology. Unlike sampling, this sound generation produces unlimited tonal color and variety, just like an acoustic grand piano. It also has multiple other sounds digitally sampled from the acutal instruments.

The instrument has built in recording capability and works well for a variety of players looking for an expanded musical experience from what traditional acoustic pianos have to offer.

As an alternatvie, also consider a new Roland GP9M which has a bigger sound, a more significant/upgraded baby grand cabinet and in industry-unique, moving-key player system built in at the factory in Japan.
